Spoofers has been hijacking Pokemon Go since this game was released as harsh as it may sound but this is the bitter truth as all legit players know when game started there were like 3000+ CP Pokemon guarding the gym I know that's normal now but when Pokemon go was barely 2 or 3 months after launch it was impossible for legit players to get even 2500 CP Pokemon and gym were being guarded by Snorlax and Arcanine with 3000+ CP but good guys at Niantic have also being working to get Spoofers in check. They brought permanent ban back, they have developed anti-botting algorithm and now gym revamp all to make Pokemon Go great again.
In old days a botter would enjoy his day while running his account on his computer on some bot and get 100K experience per hour Niantic introduced speed cap to prevent this, later Niantic started hard bans or permanent ban and now there is new type of ban shadow ban where a player having shadow ban won't be able to see some high cp pokemons.
Niantic did more than we can thank them for to make this game easier for legit players and hard for cheaters, with new gym revamp system gone are the days when spoofers can hold like 10+ gym a day with 10 blissey each of them of same user with slightly different nickname, yea we all have been through this experience with only gym in our area being hold by spoofer for ages, thankfully with new update there can only be one blissey per gym even though now you will have to beat that blissey 3 or 4 times to knockout new gym system is still not perfect also if you beat first pokemon and leave every time to knockout each pokemon one by one there is a bug that won't let you fight next pokemon for 10 minutes so its better to fight all six pokemon at once but its better than having to fight 10 blissey which was impossible atleast for legit player they wouldn't simply bother wasting all those revives and portions just to fight that gym.
Even better with new gym system a spoofer can't get coins until their pokemon is knocked out of the gym so someone spoofing to Antarctica and holding gym there won't get any benefit from new gym system with pokecoin capped to 50 coins per day which is at most a legit player was getting anyway with old gym system and receiving bonus coins only when your pokemon is knocked out of the gym spoofers have no motivation to hold gym for days or receive bonus coins from gym that no one goes to maybe they will need a golden berry to fill their motivation bar.
I would like to end this article on a note that new gym system may not be perfect with having to wait 10 minutes if we all take over rival gym only 1st one to place pokemon will have their pokemon in gym with all others having to wait for 10 minutes also we only get 10 stardust when we feed pokemon at friendly gym we should get stardust when our pokemon is knocked out but new gym revamp system is worst for those who would spoof and hold gym for days maybe years, so thank you Niantic with new gym system it makes me go out and play Pokemon Go again, let me know if you guys feel the same in comment section below.
